everything they want to achieve, put it on a complicated spreadsheet print it out and say this is what I will achieve in XX year. Looks impressive, though how much of it actually happens? Too soon it becomes overwhelming as all the little things of daily life take priority and the steps to achieving each goal get put on hold, eventually ending up in the too hard basket.
I like to choose one main goal. I write that down on 1 piece of paper; Then look at what I'm going to need to do to achieve that one goal, here's where the nuts and bolts get hammered out. Before I know it i've got a whole lot of mini goals. All will have an impact on the final achievement and an order to be done by. Work out the order and get started with the first mini goal.
Following the KISS principle always helps. (Keep It Short, Simple)
Remember to celebrate each win as they happen on the way to achieving your 1 big goal. Along the way you may find you need to tinker with the order or completely drop some steps as other opportunities to achieve your main goal present. Make it a happy journey and don't stress when things appear to not be fitting together; there is possibly the perfect solution just round the corner waiting for the right time. However you still need to be doing the work and focusing on where it is your aiming for.
My goal for this year is to have held a series of workshops relating to my business, you'd be surprised at the spin off goals from this, and not all business related either.
What will yours be? Share it and lets achieve together.
Happy planning and Enjoy the success!!
